Scott has two passions: the big screen and the little screen.

When this film buff isn't writing books or teaching classes on the art of film - or possibly watching Vertigo for the 100th time - he's helping businesses master the art of web site design and optimization.

Scott graduated from college with a degree in journalism from Creighton University. With an extensive background in writing, including stints as a news editor, columnist and feature writer, Scott spent several years specializing in direct marketing with measureable ROI. He built direct mail campaigns to drive business, promote travel destinations, and help charity fundraising organizations meet their goals.

His work in direct marketing and advertising led him into the field of search engine optimization. He realized that web sites are a not an "If you build it, they will come" proposition. Just having a web site isn't enough - it needs to be found. And once it's found, it needs to engage the audience and move them to action, whether it's picking up the phone, walking into a store, placing an order, or even changing a point of view.

Scott isn't partial to any industry. He's worked with everyone from jet aircraft companies to puppy clothiers, from worldwide businesses to community organizations.
